About

An independent publication about everyday money decisions

Money In Context is a new independent personal-finance publication focused on making everyday financial decisions easier to understand. We explain the numbers, cite primary sources and show the trade-offs — without pretending one answer works for everyone.

We’re a new publication. We don’t yet have years of archives, a large readership, or a track record to point to, and we’d rather say that plainly than imply otherwise.

What we don’t do

How we work

Our editorial approach is described in more detail on our editorial standards page (/editorial-standards/). In short: we distinguish facts from examples, we show our math, and we correct mistakes publicly rather than quietly. See our corrections policy (/corrections/).
